All beauty therapy courses with Beauty in a Blink Training Academy are fully accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body, for membership and insurance purposes. Students who enrol on GTi courses are assured of the highest quality of theory and practical tuition. Upon completion of each course, students will receive a GTi Award in their chosen discipline.
Please note that the number of theory and practical hours required to complete these courses will vary depending on the speed at which you learn. The number of case studies required also depends on each individual student.
All of our practical courses include the GTi Professional Standards for Therapists course and essential Health & Safety courses (PPE and Barbicide) . You will be prompted to complete these courses online after making a course purchase.
Health & Safety Training
Please could you take time to carry out these two free and short online courses. The first is regarding hygiene in the workplace and the other is proper donning and doffing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
On The Day
Arrival
When you arrive at the Academy please follow any Covid guidance as advertised. There will be a hand sanitising station on arrival.
What to Wear
We recommend you wear suitable clothing to be able to perform the treatment safely. Ideally a beauty tunic if you have one but if not, comfortable clothing. Long hair will need to be tied back.
If you prefer to wear PPE (masks/gloves/aprons etc) you will need to bring this with you.
Please avoid lots of jewellery or long flowing sleeves as they can interfere with your ability to perform the treatment.
We ask that you keep personal items to a minimum and remind you that your personal belongings remain your own responsibility at all times. Please bring a pen so you can take notes during your training session.
Refreshments
You and your model are welcome to bring snacks/lunch/drinks with you or there are plenty of shops locally if you wish to purchase anything to eat.
Toilet Facilities
The toilet facilities will be available for use during the time at the Academy.
